REPORT

On May 17, 2025, a trash picking sports competition was held in Jeju Island. We were worried because it rained a lot the day before, but the weather got better. Students, businessmen, and retired businessmen from other regions gathered. Participants from Jeju included female divers, fishermen, businessmen, housewives, and students. The final winning team was the female diver team, and the total weight of trash collected was 293.9 KG. Everyone was surprised by the unexpected amount of trash collected. Our event will be covered in media news and on TV.

The Jeju Haenyeo Team is a team of Haenyeo(WOMAN DIVER), fishermen, and photographers. Haenyeo Lee Yu-jeong is producing a global marine documentary for Greenpeace to protect the ocean.
