REPORT

The South African stage was held in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. The event was help in pleasant but overcast weather and was attended by family and friend groups as well as a large number of competitive teams from the Siripat Youth Rugby Club who registered over 13 teams. All teams were challenged by the hilly terrain and moved through residential and commercial neighbourhoods. They competed to the last minute and collected 189.4 kgs of trash. Team Trash Magnets (Shannon Brand, Andrew Clark, Benjamin Tore) placed 2nd in the 2023 competition and returned to become this year’s regional champions.
