REPORT

We had good weather during the event, considering that the weather is changeable in our country. We had the participation of students, teachers, community leaders, and people from the community. During the event, there was great fouling by both participants and spectators, where we heard expressions from the community such as "This event should be held in all localities of the Dominican Republic, as a way to protect the environment and the health of the population".

COMMENT

When we heard we had won, we were in shock. I feel good knowing we will represent our country and that we can be the push others need to join. In the next event, up to 200 teams could participate, which would be great for this country. The message we leave to young people is that it’s not just about recycling trash, but that this can become something more powerful in the future — a better and well-cared-for world. We thank the SPOGOMI team for promoting these activities and letting us participate. The planet doesn’t speak, but it gives us reasons to take care of it.
