REPORT

The Bolivian Stage, eagerly awaited by the 37 teams that had won the qualifying rounds, was held in Santa Cruz. More than 210 teams from six cities and universities participated in the qualifying rounds. Due to the serious competition, only experienced players were permitted to act as referees, and referee training was further strengthened. Despite the strong winds, more than double the amount of waste was collected than in the qualifying round, totaling 807 kilograms. The total amount of rubbish collected, including the qualifying rounds, was 1,977.12 kg. Participants came from all walks of life, including families, city clean-up teams, students and schoolteacher teams.

COMMENT

The team leader works as a taxi driver. He heard about SPOGOMI from one of his passengers and invited his girlfriend and cousin to join the competition. Since proper sorting has a significant impact on the final score, we focused on this. Collecting high-scoring items also helped us to achieve a great result.
